CHALLENGER® CG500-4045-D-T HOPPER GRINDER
New and Improved, the CG500-4045-D-T grinder is a class act all its own….
With a massive 18” diameter rotor this grinder can handle the toughest jobs yet.
We recently upgraded the Gearbox drive system to a heavy duty helical bevel on our hopper grinder series. We have switched our brand and style. These gearboxes have a unicase design, which means heavy-duty one-piece housings vs. a split case design, and Quadra lip sealing for no leaks and higher overall performance. We have been using these gearboxes for over two years in some of our toughest applications with great success! The CG500 Hopper grinder is available in both electric and diesel power and with your choice of our “regular” rotor or our “recessed rotor”.

Maintenance Tips
Challenger Thermal Combustion…..
For those customers with “warm air” or “hot water” combustion units this is a good time to do some preventive maintenance.
The heat exchange tubes need to be brushed out to ensure proper and efficient heat exchange.
Make sure to check all drive belts for wear and replace as needed. Grease all bearings and change gear box fluids. Do an overall inspection for normal wear.
The Combustion chamber while idle should be vacuumed clean to remove all ash material that has settled in the unit. “Don’t forget to clean the Extended Combustion Zone as well”.
This will ensure your ready for the next heating season.
