APPLICATION:
This hardwood lumber company has two CHALLENGER® CG400-3055-S-T "Hopper" Grinders. One grinder is used to process strictly pallet scrap. The other is used to process blocks and cut-off scrap pieces.
Once the pallet scrap is ground by the first CG400, it is sent via belt conveyor under an Overband Magnet to extract all of the nails and metal contaminants. Another belt conveyor then sends the material to be blown into their storage unit for animal bedding.
The second CG400 is located in another part of the facility to process the blocks and cut-off scrap. Once this material is ground, it is blown into their main Dust Collection System and sold for animal bedding.
